All children should be left the school premises by 3.00pm

Lunchtime arrangements

School meals are cooked on the premises. Children can purchase a school dinner or take a packed lunch.

Whilst dinner money will be collected every morning it would be beneficial if all money could be collected on Monday morning. Please ensure that children have the correct money with them.

A school meal costs £1.80 which includes dessert and drink.

Menus are sent out in advance every month.

If you feel that your child is eligible for free meals, please ask us for a form.

Milk is also available for 50p per week which must be paid for in advance.

School Uniform

We are very proud of our school uniform, which reflects the individuality of our school and offers all children a common form of dress.

We hope your child will wear the school uniform

Boys Girls
Navy School Sweatshirt Navy School Sweatshirt
Grey/Black Trousers Grey Skirt/Pinafore
Light Blue School Polo shirt Light Blue School Polo shirt

In the cold weather girls may wear tights or grey trousers

Children also need a PE kit comprising:
        School T-shirt (light blue/navy),
        shorts and trainers.

Girls can also wear leotards/ cycle shorts.

It is essential that children have a full range of clothing for PE and that PE kit is stored in an appropriate PE bag. A tracksuit /jogging bottoms may be worn during cold weather outdoors. Swimming kit is required for P4-P7 children.

All clothing should be clearly marked with your child's name.

Sweatshirts/Polo shirts and PE T-shirts must be ordered from the school. These items all feature the school crest. Trousers and skirts can be bought locally.

Baseball caps, hats, school coats and fleece jackets can also be ordered from the school.

Children are not encouraged to bring valuables to school and the school cannot take responsibility for loss or damage to such items. Pupils may wear watches. In the interests of health and safety no jewellery including earrings may be worn during PE activities Newly pierced ears must/will be taped over prior to PE.

From P4 upward all children should have a pencil case, pencils, rubber, sharpener, ruler and coloured pencils. They should have access to these, and a dictionary, at home.

Transport

The school is indebted to Glasdrumman GAC for the use of their club minibus and to the volunteers who drive it. As a result of their generosity children from Annalong and the surrounding area are able to receive transport to school in the mornings. The SELB provide a bus for transport in the afternoons.

In the interests of the safety of your child, please ensure that your child behaves properly on the school bus. Children must not leave their seats while the bus is in motion. Getting on and off the bus are the most dangerous times. Constantly remind your child of road safety.
