We welcome the interest and support of parents in all aspects of school life. We aim to keep parents well informed about their children’s education so that they see it as a partnership between home and school.
Our partnership with parents is fully encouraged and there are many opportunities for parents to become actively involved in their child’s education and in the school as a whole e.g.
-
Induction meeting for parents of Reception & Primary 1 class.
-
Parent/Teacher consultation meetings
-
Sacrament preparation meetings
-
Attendance at assemblies, services, prize giving day and special events
-
Consultation on a range of issues
In addition, parents assist teachers in a voluntary capacity with school trips, swimming programme and resource programme.
There is a monthly newsletter aimed at informing parents about all aspects of school life.
Parents are encouraged to keep in regular contact with their child’s class teacher and to ‘pop in’ for a quick word now and again at the end of school. Teachers will always be pleased to spare a few moments, unless they have other engagements.
If you have any problems relating to your child in school please do not hesitate to contact the Principal. If during the year parents want a longer discussion with their child’s teacher, an appointment can be made.
It is very important that you keep the school informed of any important changes that may affect your child. Please let us know promptly about any medical, physical or emotional difficulties of which you become aware.
Remember – we are here to help you.
