In addition to the compulsory subjects laid down by the Northern Ireland Curriculum, St Mary’s offers a number of other educational opportunities, which provide an important enriching experience for the development of your child.
Swimming, guitar tuition, instrumental tuition (strings), orchestra, Feis preparation, choir, Irish language, Spanish , netball, football and cycling proficiency are all offered. Some of these activities run outside school hours under the guidance of our teachers and we welcome the support of our parents helping with these activities and providing transport.
Educational and residential visits three nights for P6/P7 and one night for P4/P5 are encouraged and are considered an integral part of the school’s curriculum programme.
We have distance learning links with Richmond –Bolivar Elementary School in New York and Presentation Convent Primary School in Tralee, Co Kerry.
During the course of each year various charities are supported. In recent years our children have supported Trocaire, Operation Christmas Child, NSPCC and PHAB.
