JUNE 2007 NEWSLETTER 

POETRY READINGS: Many thanks to Lexy Higgins who came to our school and held readings of her popular poetry book Balloons  Copies can still be ordered. Please leave money and order in the office.

Thu 14th June Follow up day for P7 Confirmation class in Newcastle Parish Centre ( Wear own clothes and costs £2)

Thu 15th June Modern Languages Day in Shimna College for P6

Mon 18th June Leavers Mass at 11am in school

Wed  20th June – Trip to Dublin by P6/7 to meet Presentation PS from Tralee

Fri 22nd h June St Columban’s Football Tournament

Monday 25th Junerd June @ 1030 am Prize Giving Day- school finishes for P7’s

Wed 27th June School finishes for children for Summer Holidays at 11am

 Thu 28th/Fri 29th School Development Days for staff

SPORTS DAY

 

Weather permitting Sports Day takes place on Friday 8th June with KS1 sports in the morning (10:30am) followed by KS 2 in the afternoon     ( 12:45pm) .Each family should have received a detailed letter explaining the organisation of the day.

TRAINING DAY CHANGE OF DATE:

The School Development Day for Monday 11th June has been changed to the Autumn term. Therefore the day will be  a normal school day for the children. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Dear Parents

 

 Like most months this is another busy one with a number of important events and activities planned. Please check the important events section.

 

Could parents also ensure that all books and school equipment including the Maths Homework Boxes are sent back into school.

 

A special thank you to the support of the P4 and  P7 parents in the preparation of their children for the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation.

 

A final newsletter shall be sent out at the end of June
