SMART Boards:
The school has recently installed 4
SMART Boards in each of the
classrooms. This enables the school
to be at the cutting edge of new
technologies and affords us the
opportunity of using a vast range
and variety of resources to motivate
and stimulate our children in their
learning. Research also shows that
students find the SMART Board a real
focus point and its clarity aids
concentration.
These boards are
expensive and we are unable to pay
for them all out of our school
funds. It is only with the help and
support of the FOSA that we can
manage this initiative. It requires
a contribution of over a £1000 a
year over four years to pay for
this. This is in addition to the
usual contributions that the FOSA
afford the school i.e. donation to
Glasdrumman GAC for use of the
minibus (£1000), purchase of medals
for sports day (£300),transport to
pantomime(£500) etc..
Therefore we are
asking for everyone’s full support
in fund raising over the upcoming
years. We are also open to
suggestions and ideas for further
fundraising and we would be
delighted if some new parents would
like to come on board with the FOSA.
Thank you for your continuing
support.
