A kit list and arrangements will be
sent out this week for the upcoming
residential with Newcastle PS.

Confirmation
Fri
12th May Sacrament of
Confirmation in St Joseph’s at 12
noon. School will close at 11am on
that morning. It would be helpful if
parents could collect their children
at this time. There will be an early
lunch.
Holy Communion Preparation Sunday
14th May
P4
children are invited to attend
either 10am Mass in St Mary’s or
11am Mass in St Joseph’s. There
will be a special Homily for the
children and they will sit in
reserved seats at the front of the
church. They will also be invited to
join Fr Peter and Fr Harry on the
altar during the celebration of the
Eucharist. Please make the school
aware of which Mass your child will
be attending
GRIDCLUB
This is an excellent website which
is ideal for primary school
children. The school has subscribed
to the site and this enables
children to use the site at home.
Instructions are as follows.

for access. These are both in lower

Newcastle Lions: Thank you to
the Lions for their kind donation of
£250. They are highlighting
“Stranger Danger” through a poster
competition. Two posters will be
chosen and featured in a Calendar
FOOTBALL
Congratulations
to the football team who started off
their league with a 5-3 to 3-3 win
over Moneydarragh last week. Let’s
hope they can keep up the good form
for the upcoming matches.

Sports Day has
been provisionally booked for
Wednesday 7th June.
TOKENS
We
are also collecting tokens for the
Irish News Trip to Croke Park and
Tesco Vouchers for schools
Dear Parents
Thank you to
everyone who contributed to the fund
raising during Lent whether it was a
money contribution or one of the 120
eggs that were donated for the
Easter raffle. A figure of around
£600 has been raised for our Lenten
charities- Trocaire and Heartstart.
P7 and P4 are
looking forward to Confirmation and
First Communion and thank you for
your help in their preparation for
these Sacraments.
