DECEMBER
2005 NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents
Many thanks to
everyone who sent in parcels
for Operation Christmas Child. Your
kindness has insured that 92
children in Eastern Europe will
celebrate Christmas that much
better. It has also given our
children the opportunity to
appreciate the quality of their own
lifestyles.
Please take a note of dates of
important events that are happening
in the school over December. I would
like to highlight Wednesday 7th
December as the younger children are
presenting “The Nativity” at 1.15pm.

Quiz and
Raffle
Many thanks to
everyone who supported our Quiz
Night and bought tickets for our
raffle. Over £1300 was raised to
support the FOSA in providing the
many extras that our children
receive.
I’m sure many of
you will agree that the Quiz Night
was one of the best that we ever
had. It was great to see so many new
faces and indeed “older “ faces
there. As usual the night was
orchestrated by Quizmaster Tony
Bannon and as usual he had the
ultimate say!
Thank you again
to those who donated gifts for the
raffle, the Halfway House, the FOSA,
Tony and Dan and to everyone who
bought/sold tickets or attended the
quiz.
Speaking
and Listening
Mrs. McEvoy and P1 are involved in a
Speaking and Listening program this
year. The activities and ideas are
very interesting and useful and we
are hoping to adapt some of these to
the whole school.
Donations: Many thank to the
individual who donated £50 to the
school. It was a very kind
gesture and much appreciated.
